Singapore City, Singapore - April 13, 2018 - The Intel® Partner Connect 2018 was held recently. The three-day event is a major large-scale and influential global event in the industry for channels. At the summit, Intel introduced new initiatives for data centers, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence. As one of Intel’s core strategic partners in China, Hikrobot was invited to the event and had the opportunity to “connect” with more than 1,300 partners in the ecosystem across technological boundaries for discussions on how artificial intelligence, virtual reality, IoT and cloud computing is reshaping the future.
The Intel®-based Hikvision VPU smart code reader was showcased at the summit. Powered by Movidius, the latest AI chip from Intel, the camera has a powerful capacity for deep learning. It received high praise from many participants for its fast, accurate and stable reading process, low power consumption and small size.

At the summit, Jonathan Ballon, Vice President of the Internet of Things Group and General Manager of the Markets and Channels Acceleration Division at Intel, introduced Hikvision’s intelligent warehouse logistics solution based on mobile robots and its core module, the Intelligent Warehouse Management System (iWMS). The solution contributes to reducing labor intensity and improving production efficiency and quality. Furthermore, powered by big data analysis technology, it can optimize the warehousing layout to improve the efficiency of storage operations.

Patrick Yuan, the sales manager of Hikrobot in Southeast Asia, delivered a speech on modern industry automation application, sharing several cases such as supporting the Hikvision Security Industry Base in Tonglu and China Master Logistics for warehousing and logistics, helping logistics companies including ZTO Express and SF Express implement automated logistics, as well as participating in the intelligent warehousing projects of Transfar Logistics, Huawei and Mattel.

During the Intel® Partner Connect 2018 Summit, Hikrobot was also invited to the award ceremony held by Intel IoT Solutions Alliance, where it was given the Intel ISA Member Performance Award accepted by Mr.Shawn Huo, General Manager of Hikvision International Marketing Department.
